Objectives of Future Development

   

Education and research in a medical college bears special features when compared with those in other academic institutions. The academia in medical colleges has been considered a complex system, and in order to obtain the expertise, it requires long-lasting efforts. The medical college cultivates health care providers who devote themselves to cure diseases, to relieve pain or sufferings, to comfort patients, and pursue the public health as well. With the use of biomedical knowledge and technology, the research in medicine starts with cellular-molecular experiment, animal study, human in-vivo research, and the exploration to population/ health related socio-economic problems, and public health issues. The above special features in medicine make medical education and research important and challenging.  

To pursue excellence, I-Shou University Medical College recruits outstanding faculty, encourages the research in basic and clinical medicine, highlights the importance of the education on medical humanity, bioethics, health related socio-economic science, and liberal arts. The educational program also keeps up with the trend of globalization in medical education and health care.
